A little can do a lot!

Thank you so much for considering donating regularly to Walk the Walk. As a charity, we are committed to supporting research into breast cancer for the future health of us all, to help improve the lives of those who have cancer now, and for prevention.

£3 pays for tea for a day, so people can sit together in a centre and find strength in sharing their cancer experiences.

£10 can pay for 25 cryotubes used to freeze breast cancer cells so that they can be used to save cells for future experiments. These are essential and can save scientists time and money!

£20 is the cost of having someone there to pick up the phone and help a person sign up to start receiving free breast cancer support.

£50 pays for an hour of immediate advice and support for someone just diagnosed with cancer with a Cancer Support Specialist.

FAQ

Yes, as long as you are eligible. For every £10 you give, Walk the Walk will be able to claim another £2.50 from the government.

Onlinegiving will show on your bank statement

Yes, you can, this is not a problem. However, we won’t be able to thank you for your generosity and support and won’t be able to let you know how your donation was used during the year. Of course, if you choose to donate anonymously, we respect your decision and a huge thank you from us all for all your support.

Yes, if you are a higher rate taxpayer, through Gift Aid. Gift Aid allows charities to claim basic rate tax of 20% on your donation (that’s 25p for every £1 donated). But higher rate taxpayers pay 40% tax. So, if you’re a higher rate taxpayer, you can claim the difference between the basic rate of tax claimed by the charity on your donation, and the higher rate of tax you actually pay, from HMRC.
